Yes. Your financial data is stored locally on your device. If you enable backup, it is
uploaded only to the private "App Data" folder of your own Google Drive account, which
no other app — including our team — can access.
Does FiBudget have access to my bank account?
No. FiBudget is a manual tracking app. We do not require your bank login credentials or
direct access to your bank accounts. You have full control over the data you enter.
Data & Sync
How can I backup my data?
You can use the Backup feature in the settings. By signing in with your Google account,
you can manually perform a backup to store your data safely in your private Google Drive
App Data folder. This allows you to restore your data when you change devices or
reinstall the app. Google Drive backup is a FiBudget Premium feature.
Can I use the app offline?
Absolutely. FiBudget is designed to work offline. You can add transactions and manage
your budget anytime. To keep your data safe, you should manually perform a backup
whenever you have an internet connection.
How do I delete all my data?
Go to Settings > Security > Reset Data. This permanently removes
your data from this device. If you are signed in, the app will also attempt to remove
your backups from Google Drive.
Features & Usage
Can I export my data to Excel/CSV?
This feature is currently in development and will be available in a future update. We
plan to support exporting your transaction history to CSV format so you can easily
manage your data in Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
Is FiBudget free to use?
Yes. FiBudget is free to download and includes everything you need for daily tracking:
transactions, analytics, up to 5 custom categories and 3 monthly budgets. The free
version is supported by ads. Some advanced features and an ad-free experience are part
of the optional FiBudget Premium upgrade.
Advertisements
Why do I see ads in FiBudget?
Ads help us keep FiBudget free for everyone and fund ongoing development. They are
served by Google AdMob and are shown only in the free version of the app.
How do I remove ads?
Upgrade to FiBudget Premium (monthly, yearly, or Lifetime) from the
Premium screen in the app. All ads are removed immediately and stay removed while your
Premium is active.
Do ads use my financial data?
No. Your transactions, budgets, categories and profile are never shared with Google
AdMob or any advertiser. Ad networks may use device identifiers (such as the Android
Advertising ID) and general device information to show and measure ads. See our
Privacy Policy for details.
Can I turn off personalized ads?
Yes. On your Android device go to Settings > Google > Ads (or
Settings > Privacy > Ads) and choose "Opt out of Ads
Personalization" or reset/delete your Advertising ID. You'll still see ads, but they
won't be based on your interests. You can also manage preferences at
adssettings.google.com.
I saw an inappropriate ad — what should I do?
We don't control individual ad content, but you can report it: tap the small
ⓘ / "AdChoices" icon on the ad to report it directly to Google. You
can also email us at contact.fibudget@gmail.com with a screenshot and we'll block the
advertiser where possible.
Premium, Billing & Refunds
What do I get with FiBudget Premium?
Premium unlocks unlimited custom categories, unlimited monthly budgets, backup &
restore via your own Google Drive, biometric quick unlock, and an ad-free experience.
Which plans are available and how much do they cost?
There are three options: a monthly subscription, a yearly
subscription (sometimes with a free trial), and a one-time
Lifetime purchase. Prices differ by country and currency, so the exact
price, billing period and any trial length are always shown on the Premium screen in the
app and on the Google Play confirmation dialog before you pay.
Do subscriptions renew automatically?
Yes. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at
the price shown when you purchased, and your Google Play account is charged within 24
hours before the period ends. To avoid being charged, cancel at least
24 hours before the renewal date. The Lifetime plan is
a one-time payment and never renews.
How does the free trial work?
When a free trial is offered, it is available once per Google Account. If you don't
cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid
subscription and your Google Play account is charged the displayed price.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Play Store app > tap your profile > Payments &
subscriptions > Subscriptions > FiBudget >
Cancel subscription. You can also cancel at
play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. You keep Premium
until the end of the period you already paid for. Note that uninstalling the app does
not cancel a subscription.
Can I get a refund?
All purchases are processed by Google Play, so refunds are handled under the
Google Play refund policy — request a refund through Google Play.
Statutory rights (for example in the EEA or UK) still apply. If you need help, email us
at contact.fibudget@gmail.com and we'll do our best to assist.
I bought Premium but it isn't showing — how do I restore it?
Make sure you are signed in with the same Google Account used for the purchase, then
open the Premium screen and tap Restore Purchases. Your entitlement is
linked to your Google Account, so it works on any device.
Does FiBudget store my payment details?
No. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your card, bank
or billing address details — we only receive the purchase status needed to unlock
Premium. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What happens to my data if my subscription ends?
Your transactions and history stay on your device. Premium-only features (such as Google
Drive backup, biometric unlock, and categories/budgets beyond the free limits) become
read-only or limited until you renew, and ads will be shown again — but nothing is
deleted.
